Can you match an existing timber verandah post? We offer a custom matching service. Send a square-on photograph of the complete post, close-ups of the decorative detail and written dimensions. Include the overall length, square-section width, top and bottom section lengths and any railing connection. Our custom-post measuring guide explains what to include.
How do I choose between V1–V7? Compare the turning or centre detail, the arrangement of the square ends and the available dimensions. V1–V3 have longer decorative turned layouts; V4 and V5 have an upper turning and longer square lower section. Compare V6 for a straighter layout and V7 for a column-style design. Which sizes are available? Available sizes are listed on each product page. V1–V5 currently offer 2400, 2700, 3000, 3300 and 3600 mm overall lengths, with 88, 112 and 135 mm square sections. For V6, V7 or custom section layouts, check the individual product choices and confirm the dimensions you need with the workshop. The square-section width is different from the narrower diameter of a turned section.
What timber are the posts made from? Our standard verandah posts are made in Melbourne from LOSP-treated pine. LOSP stands for Light Organic Solvent Preservative. Read the product information and our painting and care instructions for preparation before installation.
Do I need to paint the posts before installation? Yes. Our painting instructions require two thin coats of oil-based primer on all six sides before installation, including the ends. Keep the timber dry before painting, allow adequate drying time between coats and wait at least 72 hours after delivery before painting. Follow the complete painting instructions for topcoats and ongoing maintenance.
Can I order a custom size? Send the required dimensions through the custom matching form. Include the complete section layout, quantity and delivery postcode so we can review your enquiry and provide a quote.
How do I confirm the post is suitable for my project? Confirm the required finished dimensions and project suitability with your builder before ordering. A product photograph or sizing diagram describes the profile; it does not replace a specification for the way the post will be used.

What is Your Shipping Policy?
DOMESTIC
We ship anywhere in Australia with a flat fee of $88.
INTERNATIONAL
Unfortunately, we do not ship outside of Australia due to other countries customs and restrictions.
What is Your Return Policy?
Returns are available within 14 days from delivery. Please note that Verandah Posts will not cover return shipping fees for change of mind.
The product must also be in a sellable condition otherwise the refund will be at Verandah Posts discretion.

How Do I Check My Order Status?
